2012 Explore Gorongosa Safari Experience Rates
- Rack

Terms: Rack rates are
quoted per person sharing per night in US dollars.
Rates
include: Accommodation, all meals, all available beverages, all
activities (excl. Mount Gorongosa trips - see below), and Mozambique VAT.
Rates
exclude: Park entry fees, charter flights or transfers into Gorongosa National Park
and all related taxes & fees, Mount Gorongosa trips (new mountain levy), any
items purchased at our shop, all items of a
personal nature, visa fees, travel insurance, and gratuities.

subject to change without prior notice.
Occupancy: All Explore Gorongosa safaris are
subject to a maximum of 14 guests. Single guests are welcome if on a private
safari or alternatively, single independent guests will be accommodated if we
already have confirmed bookings from other guests. If single guests are willing
to share, single supplement can be waivered. Special arrangements can possibly
be made for groups larger than 14 on request.
Private safaris: Special interest expeditions and private guide
rates are available on request.
Booking out the camp: It is possible for a group or family wishing to enjoy their privacy and exclusivity to book out the entire camp. There is a special all-inclusive rate for this option. Please contact us for details.
Age restriction in camp: We generally do not take children below the age of 10 years unless the camp is exclusively booked out or prior consent is requested from Explore Gorongosa. However, please check with us as we love to have families come to visit.
Age restriction on walks: Children below the age of 14 years will not be allowed on the walks without prior arrangement and consent from Explore Gorongosa. We also offer substitute activities in and around the camp vicinity where children also get to experience a walking activity. It is preferable that all children above 14 years are accompanied by an adult on a walk. There is no maximum age limit, however please use your discretion for health and fitness levels.
Please note: There are no credit card
facilities at our camp therefore any extras must be paid either in US dollars
or Meticais (the local currency of Mozambique). Chitengo Camp does have a credit card facilities
and so any costs at Chitengo before or after the safari can be covered by Visa
or MasterCard.
2012 Transfer Rates
- Road transfer from Beira Airport to Explore Gorongosa (3.5hrs) from US$240 one way (1-2 pax)
- Air charter from/to Explore Gorongosa to/from Bazaruto Island / Indigo Bay (1h25 - Operated by CFA) from US$464pp (one way) & US$690pp (return) - minimum of 2 pax
All other air charter and road transfer
rates to & from Gorongosa National Park out of Vilanculos and the
surrounding Bazaruto archipelago resorts, Beira & Chimoio are available on request.
